Between the way Firefox's parser works with RSS 1.0 feeds, and the way Places treats multiple items with the same link (and what the RSS 1.0 spec requires), we very much need to not have the first link in the release announcements in http://www.mozilla.org/news.html be the same for multiple items. Right now, there are five Firefox 1.5.0.x announcements, all linking first to http://www.getfirefox.com/, which as a Firefox Live Bookmark in trunk/Places results in just one item titled for 1.5.0.2, and in 1.5.0.x and 2.0 builds results in five items all with the title for the 1.5.0.2 item. The workaround fix is to put the release notes link before the "get it" link, since make-news.pl just grabs the first link from the item for the RSS link/rdf:Seq. The longterm real fix is probably either to switch to using a weblog that will create its own real feed, and then parse that feed for the front page and news.html pages, or to generate unique URLs for each item (probably by reversing the index, so that #1 stays #1 instead of being #2 next week) and put those in the rdf:Seq.
