As we are going to release the Sunbird 0.3 NSIS installer in some weeks I suggest to check the installer fixes done for Bon Echo and port relevant fixes to Sunbird (if not already done).

A quick search showed up the following bugs: Bug 347954, Bug 339098, Bug 333160, Bug 346798.

Robert, can you say if the bugs mentioned above are relevant for Sunbird? Do you know if there are other Bugs fixed for the installer that might be relevant too?
I'll most likely take care of this in bug 349551.
The Sunbird patch in bug 349551 brings its installer up to date with all changes made to date.

The patch in bug 349551 has landed on the trunk and tomorrow's software update will include the uninstaller so resolving -> fixed.

This check in has caused solaria tinderbox (Lightning-Mozilla1.8) bustage:

configure: error: To build the installer makensis is required in your path. To build without the installer reconfigure using --disable-installer.

Looks like we need a tinderbox upgrade or config change again.

Nevermind. I found Bug 350648 for the trunk tinderbox changes and added solaria tinderbox to it.
