it will be nice if completed tasks will be hidden in main view if Hide completed tasks is checked
right now it works only for tasks panel

if it does not make sense to keep them visible in tasks panel why it dones in main view?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create task
2. check it as completed
3. check in task panel "Hide complted tasks"

Actual Results:  
tasks are not visible in tasks panel but they are in main view (if you checked "Tasks in view")

Expected Results:  
completed tasks are not visible in main view

I confirm
new to this calendar, so don't know if a separate control option is needed to hide completed tasks from the calendar view, independent of the task list.

I suppose at a minimum, the existing [Hide] completed tasks could be expanded to include the calendar view too.

I think the "Hide/Show completed tasks" control should be separate for the task list and the calendar view. (see http://wiki.mozilla.org/Calendar:Thunderbird_Menu_Integration)

Christian, have you already decided on this part of the UI?

No, I have not decided on the part, and I'd like to shift the decision until we start working on the task mode (Planned for 0.9). This prevents us from doing unnecessary rework.

With checkin of Bug 386596 this issue is fixed.
Also comment #3 is incorporated in that.

Therefore changing status to FIXED
