Entered text ends up in the body instead of the address line if I begin typing immediately after Ctrl+M ( compose new message ) from the Thunderbird main window

If I start typing immediately after pressing Ctrl+M while in the main window of Thunderbird, then the first several letters are entered into the body rather than into the address line.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Press Ctrl+M in the main Thunderbird window
2.Quickly start typing an address
3.You see several letters you have entered in the message body instead of address, and the rest in the address line.
Actual Results:
Part of the address is entered into the body rather than the address line
Expected Results:
The entire address should go into the address line
