A message arrives by header only. I double-click to get Properties to check for junk. Most of the time I just close the new window and label as junk.

But when the message is good, I click the Download message below the properties in the new window and nothing happens. I close the window. No message body arrives but the Inbox is in bold telling me one message is waiting but I cannot get it.

I check the actual Inbox file inside the mail folder and the message contents are included but I cannot find the message anywhere else.

Lost on arrival.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
For the above - happens everytime I double-click and try to download the message body from the new window.

1. Double-click the header of a message
2. New Properties window displays
3. Click Download info below the Properties area
4. Message goes . . .

Actual Results:
Does not display in the body area.

Expected Results:
Message body should display under the header info area.
Good Day

Thank You for the reply.

I have just received some information via a forum that suggests that I modify View>Headers from All to Normal. I am just trying this now so I will report back soon. I am using 1.5 so I will reload 2.? and I get back to ya.

The problem appears to be that the header information is populating the entire lower pane and forcing the option to 'click to download' off the pane. This is caused by not having scrollbars showing in the lower pane and my need for a larger font. When I lower the font size to the out of box preferences then I have no problem.

Hope this helps.
Good Day

I am pleased to report that the option from All to Normal worked and now I can see the 'click to download' option.

Unfortunately it does not address the bug but it does give me a work around.

Keep up the good work.

Thank You
paul 3 display areas are involved:
1. thread pane, which lists all the messages
2. message preview pane (preview) which displays the message currently selected in thread pane
3. message header, a subset of the above preview pane

can you reword your steps to reproduce of comment 0 using the above terms?

Summary: Lost Message after double-clicking Inbox → Lost Message after double-clicking Inbox with view headers all and "click to download" forced off window
Version: unspecified → 1.5
Good Day

Thank You for the reply.

Reworded - here we go -

A message title arrives and is lodged in the thread pane in the upper part of the screen. I click on the title and the header information is displayed in the message preview pane directly below the thread pane. The entire message pane is populated with the message header. I cannot see the 'click to download' command.

I hope this helps. I will also send you a screen shot of the problem. This will be the relevant panes only with the View>Header>All option set. I must wait for the mailing list message to arrive.

Hope this helps.

Good Day

A screen shot is attached. The header information was shorter than usual so I had to lower the separator bar (the thing that separates the thread pane from the message preview pane) to exclude the 'click to download' command which usually is not visible.

Normally the headers take up all the area in the message preview pane.

I did notice one thing that the 'click to download' option is in an area controlled by scrollbars. Too bad that they do not go all the way through the message preview pane.

Hope this helps.
