A message that has no attachment is for some reason shown as if it had one, when a message that has an attachment, is selected.
I'll link to a video screenshot soon.

Same thing here:
Thunderbirg 1.5.0.2, Linux, GNOME 2.14, using an IMAP server.
This applies to single messages, too (the video shows a thread).
There is also another effect: I have a message with an OpenOffice attachment (.odt), but no attachment icon is shown until I select the message. When I select another message, the icon vanishes again.
The effect does not occur if I copy the affected messages to a separate folder (Inbox: 183 messages, new folder: 2 messages), so it may be related to the number of messages in a folder??

This looks similar to bug 329503.

Looks like a dupe maybe.
To clarify: in my case this is an IMAP mailbox, and the message in question is a plain text message, no attachments, no vcards.
Plus, this doesn't happen with my Thunderbird on Linux (today; this might be irrelevant, but still...)

And it doesn't happen with that exact same message on Windows anymore either... Can this only be applicable to the first few messages in a list?
