After importing bookmarks from Opera 9, most of them are inserted into the Bookmarks Toolbar automatically and not inside a seperate folder for Opera in the bookmarks list.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. File | Import...
2. Select Opera and click Next.
3. Unselect all options except Bookmarks and click Next.
4. Click Finish.

Actual Results:  
Bookmarks are added into the Bookmarks Toolbar and two folders, inside the 'From Opera' folder: Keyword Searches (From Opera) and Trash are present in the Bookmarks list.

Expected Results:  
Bookmarks imported should be in a Opera folder inside the Bookmarks list, not the toolbar.

Bug still present in latest Firefox 2 branch. Also updated Opera to its latest version and problem still exist it seems.

confirmed on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.5pre) Gecko/2007062204 BonEcho/2.0.0.5pre and also Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a6pre) Gecko/2007062204 Minefield/3.0a6pre, moving to places since its also a problem on trunk.

It seems also that only very few bookmarks (one) are imported into the bookmarks folder and no personal bookmarks are moved over. 

This looks like a kind of dataloss between opera and Firefox (however the bookmarks are still in opera)

Note: Exporting the Bookmarks in Opera to a HTML File works on Import in Firefox (with Import as File). But the build-in Bookmark import in Firefox (Tools -> Import) fails.

I think this is "Migration", not "Places" (which didn't exist when this bug was filed, FF1.5)

Not blocking a FF2 update, but if the eventual migration fix is trivial we can look at it.
