There are 2 search bugs in current FF 2 alphas versions.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:  
1. FastFind finds results in form fields.

2. highlight serach results, switch tab, switch to the first tab again: now the hilights are still there but the highlight button is off again. You have to reload the page to get rid of the yellow highlights.

Expected Results:  
1. Don't search in form fields like 1.5 final does.


NOTE: bugs found on windows2000 with FF 2.0 beta 2.

(posted on an other pc, so the user-agent is not FF version where I found the bugs)

You're joking, right? The Firefox bug which was duped to the core bug which fixed the bug of not finding in form fields, which *was* a bug, had the second-highest number of votes of any fixed bug in the Mozilla Project, since the start.

As to highlighting, it wasn't ever fixed, so there's no need for a new bug report (and there's never a need for single bug report covering two such separate issues).

you are right, the highlight bug exists in also in FF 1.5 final
