User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1b2) Gecko/20060821 Firefox/2.0b2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1b2) Gecko/20060821 Firefox/2.0b2 Log into the Microsoft Exchange server, and log out. On the webpage, there would be "Close" button to allow the user to dismiss the current page. This button works fine in IE, however, in FF, it does not function at all. Have to manually click the cross on the tab to close it. Expected behavior: If the "Close" button is clicked, the active TAB shall be closed accordingly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Log into Microsoft Exchange server 2.Log out 3.Click the "Close" button on the webpage. Actual Results: This "CLOSE" button does not function at all. Expected Results: If the "Close" button is clicked, the active TAB shall be closed accordingly.
the page is running afoul of window security restrictions that prevent pages not opened by scripts from closing themselves. just close the tab yourself. this problem does not involve a web page being able to attack your computer - clearing security flag.
