when adding the fr-FR dictionary (fr-FR.dic+fr-FR.aff) in the seamonkey/dictionaries directory, after a reboot, the new dictionary takes no effect for edition. (it works with Fx 2.0 beta).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a forum (phpBB or something)
2. reply / create a new subject 
3. write some words in french (or other language he)

Actual Results:  
french words are still underlined

Expected Results:  
correct word shouldn't be underlined

Are you sure it worked that easily in Firefox? Firefox also can only use dictionary at a time and does not do any auto detection of the language entered. What happened in Firefox when you entered French and English words in the same textarea? Maybe you have to switch the language in the preferences window in SeaMonkey to switch to French (Mail & Newsgroups->Composition)? Maybe there will be better UI for that some time.
