When connected via PPP, no URL which is outside the local system can be found - just as if were no connection at all. Local http connections work as it would be expected - well. The pppd sets defaultroute and replaces default /etc/resolv.conf by a new one pointing to ISP's nameservers when connection is established. Other browsers (Konqueror, NN4.72) and network programs (gftp) work fine in the same environment. M14 on Mandrake-6.1 based system powered by kernel 2.2.13, AMD K6-2/266.
jindra@vavruska.cz - M14 is too old a build (over a month) to be reporting bugs against. Please could you download a recent nightly build and tell us if you still see this problem. Thanks, Gerv
jindra@vavruska.cz, can you please test this with a current nightly build. Look for the ones that say M16. Thanks.
I think it's probably worth marking as WORKSFORME. I've never seen such a problem on any of the Mozilla builds I've tried under Linux. Perhaps some proxy settings needed to be set for HTTP access.
Marking WORKSFORME. Gerv
