I am experiencing a similar issue where Firefox is utilizing 100% of my CPU usage. When closing firefox from menu or x, firefox.exe remains resident in task manager and must be killed. Once killed my cpu usage reverts back to normal. I am forced to use IE until this issue is resolved.
2007, and this is 2009. WOW! I am, Still having the issue. When will this be fixed? May have to go back to using IE, or another browser. I like Firefox. But, COME ON!
