It would be good if the 'disk space' options could be set per folder.
That way, I can ask Thunderbird to, say, delete all messages in a certain bunch of folders after x amount of days.
This would keep disk usage of folders which contain mailing list postings down. It's not important to keep them locally, as they virtually all mailing lists have online archives.

My bad, the feature is already there under 'retention policy' in each folder's properties.
