User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 Every time I go to http://perldoc.com -- firefox freezes completely. I've left it for several hours with no change. I also get the problem at http://wwwcn.cern.ch I guess these domains have a bad DNS setup, but why doesn't firefox error? Reading the headers with GET I see: http://perldoc.com --> 503 Service Unavailable Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to perldoc.com or wwwcn.cern.ch Actual Results: Firefox just froze. No reponse. Expected Results: Displayed an error
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1b2) Gecko/20060908 BonEcho/2.0b2 ID:2006090803 Works for me. With both sites: - http://perldoc.com - http://wwwcn.cern.ch firefox reports the 'Server not found' error page. Does this happen to you in firefox's safmode? - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
Yes, it happens in safe mode as well.
I've tried this again in normal mode, and am now happily getting an error: "The requested URL could not be retrieved" after 5-10 minutes.
Will, do you still see this? works for me with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1b3) Gecko/20090305 Firefox/3.1b3
