I uninstall fire fox download a new one got the exact same result. It acts like it going to save the file but does not, even if you have a file of the same name it will ask you if you want to replace it with the new one. I click yes but it does not download it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to web site with large file downloads 2.right click links to downloads files 3.select save link as 4.click on the save button. Actual Results: The save as box disappear with out any download results. Expected Results: it should have started to download the files giveing me a box showing me that it is being done.
Possibly it's only coincidence. Or windows system restore made a mess of it. Have you tried cleaning up your downloads manager? Also creating a new profile or a reinstall in a new empty directory could help.
The links on your URL work for me with a current SeaMonkey Trunk and FF 1.8 Branch build on WinXP. Please test with a new profile. I guess that is somehow corrupt.
