I guess this is reasonable, given page 34 of the E4X spec.

js> new XML("<x>")
1: SyntaxError: XML tag name mismatch (expected x):
1: <parent xmlns=''><x></parent>
1: ......................^

But I'm pretty sure these shouldn't work:

js> uneval(new XML("</parent>").toXMLString())
""

js> uneval(new XML("<x/></parent><<<<<").toXMLString())      
"<x/>"
