Hello everybody!

I have a .htaccess authorization folder with pdf files in it, which works fine if I click on the file I want to see in the browser (ask the password, and show me the file if it was correct). But if I rightclick on the file and try to save as... then the authorization box doesn't shown up, and firefox save something to the desktop with the same filename which (that part thanks to God :) is not viewable. This function works fine on this page in IE and Opera

Well, if you're viewing the folder then you must've typed in your username and password to gain authentication (which will persist until you close the browser).

Does this work in Firefox 2 beta 2?

The html file which shows the name of the pdfs is in a different folder which needs to be accessible for everyone. Only the files are password protected in an other folder. When I click to the files the authentication box shows up and works great (go to the protected folder and open the file in the browser). But if I rightclick on the file and hit Save as... it doesn't happen and I can not save the file properly.

No it doesn't work in Firefox 2 beta 2 either :(
