Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6
If you have a page such as https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/index.cgi or www.google.com open and open a second tab while a text field is active the insertion point will draw on top of the second page.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open a web page with one or more editable fields
2.Open a second tab on the same window
3.Switch back to the first tab
4.Click on one of the text fields.
5.Wait until the insertion point is visable then switch tabs
Actual Results:
A non-blinking insertions point will appear on the second tab where the insertion point was. It will stay until you change pages on the affect tab or close the tab.
Expected Results:
The page should be drawn without the non-blinking insertion point.
If you switch tabs when the insertion point is not visable the erronious insertion point will not be shown. This bug has existed since at least 1.5.4 on MacOS X 10.4. It affects both PPC and Intel MacOSX versions of the program. I have not tested this on other platforms.
