Would be nice if you could click the message read/unread toggle without bringing message list window to foreground
I'd like to be able to click the blue "unread message" marker while the message list is in the background, without having to first bring the window to the foreground. Doesn't really matter to me if the click also has the effect of bringing the window to the front.
So I think that would be excellent as well - but it seems to be a general behavior of a lot of mac apps - you have to bring them forward before clicking on them does anything. It's my biggest annoyance with mac apps in general (or at least in the top 3 :-) ) I've always thought this was toolkit behavior, not TB-specific. Does this work for Firefox on the mac, such that clicking on something in the app while its in the background does something, other than bring the app forward?
You're right, this is probably core behavior -- except this is really the only particular instance in which this annoys me, so that's why I filed it against TB. Usually it's standard to ignore the first click, except for specific cases in which reading the first click will save the user a significant amount of effort (such as doing something repetitive like tagging uninteresting messages as sent).
