User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 I cannot download any files (PDF, ZIP, etc). It seems that Firefox tries to save the requested file in a "MacHelp.help" folder, an error message is shown to me. However, I have no option to change that location. I defined a fixed (existing) directroy in the preferences -> no resolution. And if I choose the option "Ask me where to save every file" no dialog is given to me. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on download link. Actual Results: Error message: Downloading /Library/Documentation/Help/MacHelp.help/Contents/Resources/ko.lproj/pgs2/cdb_videoprts.html/... /Library/Documentation/Help/MacHelp.help/Contents/Resources/ko.lproj/pgs2/cdb_videoprts.html/... could not be saved, because an unknown error occured. Try saving to a different location. Expected Results: Download should start / dialog where to save should be shown.
Ah, I forgot: I removed the downloads.rdf file while Firefox is not running. No help.
Oh, using ktrace I figured out that Firefox uses ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.internetconfig.plist to get that directory. After removing that file it works now.
