Debian Etch (testing), TB 1.5.0.5 (20060812) (distributional)

I got two emails, nearly identical, both with the same word doc file attached.

Trying to open the attachment from first one, TB claims the attachment to be "Microsoft Word Document" and offers ooowriter for opening, and "Save" too of course.
That's good.

Second mail, TB claims that the MIME type is "BIN file". Offers only saving the file. Not possible to select "Open with an application".
That's wrong.

TB should:
1, Detect the same MIME type, because they are identical in mail body: "Content-Type: application/octet-stream"

2, TB should offer an appropriate actions. He did it only in first case -however (paradox), he detected "Microsoft Word Document" type that was incorrect from perspective of defined MIME type. However, even for "BIN file" that he dosen't know which app should be used, should give the user option to make the choice.

Reproducible: Always
SMTP mail file, bzipped. The attachment itself I have crippled intentionally; it dosen't have an impact on TB behaviour.

Here current SeaMonkey trunk offers for both files to open them with OpenOffice. Maybe this is a bug in Thunderbird 1.8 or 1.8.0 branch only.
Debian Etch has updated it's Thunderbird package to version 1.5.0.7 (20060915)
With this version, everything works as expected.
