Keep meaning to report this, but it always comes up as I'm on my way to report something else and forget to mention it after filing the other bug. But remembered, the search results summary window on the bug-reporting page under mozilla.org is about 2-3cm tall, which lets me view maybe 2-3 summaries at a time -- not a page of summaries as IE defaults to. Needless to say, trying to search through a long list, while the interface only lets you see 2-3 results at a time makes it difficult to use & difficult to skim through the list.
Oddly, this window size shows up as broken under Opera as well. Attached (or at least attempted to be attached) are three screen shots from the three browswers showing the size of the the results window -- notice in IE, it allows more than a screen length of results, allowing easy scrolling and viewing through a long list.
I don't know which browswer(s) have the bug, but the tiny view-port onto the long list of bugs dissuades me from doing much reading through the list. How come IE gets this right but FF & Opera show the poorly-designed UI-height window?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Goto https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi to report a bug,
2. Choose firefox. Note size of bug search summary window. I have extension
to open same page in Opera and IE, but you can cut & paste into the browswers if desired.
3. Compare size of bug-search summary windows & see IE gives you a wide (tall actually) viewport onto the list of bugs while FF & Opera give you a tiny viewport.
Actual Results:
IE has page high-view window onto 100+ item bug list, while FF shows 2-3 at a time. Uck!
Expected Results:
FF *used* to show full page, probably back before 1.5, now it truncates the window making the bug list impossible to skim through.

The iframe has height="80%". Percentage heights tend to be problematic...
Summary: Bug search summary window miniturized under FF & Opera; Normal size under IE → Bug search summary iframe is too short in Firefox and Opera (ok in IE)

Not so much that they are problematic, as that triggering strict mode when you want quirks rules is problematic: everything's in a container div, so html, body, and #container all need 100% height to have the iframe's 80% be 80% of the viewport, instead of 80% of some random intrinsic not-what-you-want height. (Or, cop out and trigger quirks mode ;))

There's been changes in Bugzilla to the textboxes since the version that b.m.o is running. Don't know how much of this still applies, but for the hassle I'd just as soon upgrade Bugzilla (which is happening soon anyway) than try to hack anything locally. Moving to Bugzilla product... if this has already been dealt with upstream, resolve as dupe or whatever as appropriate.
