If there are already some tabs or windows wiht URLs from this e-mail opened, I see a message "Server not found. Firefox can't find the server at www.news.3dfx." and a strange URL http://www.news.3dfx/ appears in the address bar. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Save the sample to any kind of file, where URLs become clickable. For example, put it into text file and "cat" it into linux terminal window. 2. Click any hyperlink in the text. The destination URL opens perfectly in the Firefox window. 3. Click another link in the text while the window with the previous link remains open. "Problem loading page" message appears in the Firefox window. If you close the Firefox window, displaying the page from http://www.3dnews.ru/, before Step 3, the next link will open without problems. Actual Results: Server not found Firefox can't find the server at www.news.3dfx. * Check the address for typing errors such as ww.example.com instead of www.example.com * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. Expected Results: The software should open the desired URL :) This bug appears only after upgrade to 1.5.0.7 version. The previous version, 1.5.0.4, worked fine with this kind of links. I have the following extensions installed: TalkBack 1.5.0.7, DOM Inspector 1.8.0.7, ConQuery 1.6.4, Flashblock 1.5.1 The same extensions were installed in Firefox 1.5.0.4.

Since there has been no reply to comment #1 ==> WORKSFORME. The reported Firefox version(s) are too old a build to analyze bugs against now. The problem you are reporting may well have been fixed already. Could you please download a recent version or nightly build from <http://www.mozilla.org/releases/nightly.html>, and then let us know if you still see this problem? Resolution: --- → WORKSFORME
The problem was with procedure of upgrade. Complete removal of FireFox and all it's compontnts and a new installation of FF package solved the problem.
Resolution: WORKSFORME → FIXED
The FIXED keyword is for bugs where the solution can be pinned to a particular known section of code that was changed and checked into CVS. Since the problem just disappeared in newer versions, it becomes a WORKSFORME.
