Martin, could you post a talkback ID of the crash(es)? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback
This bug isn't fixed, because there was no patch that fixed this. This bug could become invalid if the talkback ID indicates that it is a problem with the IE Tab extension.

(In reply to comment #5) I reinstalled Firefox 2 rc1 to enable talkback. Now the Browser does not crash anymore even with IE Tab enabled. Seemed to be something wrong with my installation.
