using the menu on os x: open, file all .svg files are greyed out preventing selection, but only in very recent minefield trunk nightlies.

ff2beta2, and older builds don't have this issue, which has been introduced recently.

this bug has been resolved in the past, my mid-term memory is so poor I can't help more, apologies, checked old bugs without joy.

could be a problem with OS file associations, but why now?
