I was modifying a gmail notify program to open firefox and goto gmail.com so I went to terminal to see if executing firefox http://gmail.com and got nothing. After that I was not able to get firefox to open gmail.com!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. goto terminal type firefox http://gmail.com or firefox "http://gmail.com"
2. notice it does not reach the url
3. try from withing firefox @ the address bar

Actual Results:
No Gmail url!

I fixed it by removing everything (except bookmarks.htm) from my profile folder in ./mozzilla/firefox and my cache!
So, it sounds like this was due to you having some extension installed.

No, I don't (didn't) have any installed. I just use plain Firefox.
I use flash but gmail also worked before and after.
NOT an extension problem.

Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
