User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060911 Camino/1.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060911 Camino/1.0.3 When I scroll down a long web article, the portions that were offscreen initially are poorly antialiasing in comparison to the portions that were onscreen initially. (Like what happens to the roads when you drive from France into Italy...) Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Rotate display into "portrait" mode and make corresponding change to support rotation in System Preferences:Displays 2. Open any long article from http://www.nytimes.com 3. Scroll past initial text and watch text become ligher, hard to read. Actual Results: Fonts rendered too lightly on initially offscreen portion. Expected Results: Fonts rendered uniformly whether initally offscreen or onscreen. See http://www.math.columbia.edu/~bayer/etc/Camino-antialiasing.jpg for a small example (small because I fully expected a way to submit this attachment directly, and I made it small as a courtesy).

(In reply to comment #1) > *** Bug 355920 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** > *** Bug 355920 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** The only explanation I can offer for these duplicate posts are that I may have backed up in Camino while posting, ignoring the "POST DATA" warnings. Perhaps this should be reported as a separate bug, the system should be robust enough to autodetect this, and not create multiple identical reports.
I don't think I see this at all with 1.0.3 on PPC, but I'm not positive. Does changing your font preferences have any effect? What font is that in the screenshot? cl

Is this still a problem with 1.1 Beta?
Dave, can you respond to comments 4 and 6 please? Also, what are your font settings (both system-wide anti-aliasing and in the Camino appearances prefpane)?
