User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061003 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061003 Firefox/2.0 Running OSX 10.2.8 (Not included in bugzilla options - hmmm . . .) Bookmarks toolbar folder dropdown menu draws list of bookmarks, and Firefox immediately hangs with intensive system and user cpu usage. Firefox becomes completely unresponsive, and must be force quit. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Firefox menu bar at top of screen. 2.Select "Bookmarks" 3.Select "Bookmarks toolbar folder" Actual Results: Firefox hangs, intensive cpu usage. Expected Results: Should not hang, and give access to bookmarks.
Actually not reproducible, and more touchy. I now have been able to navigate beyond the opening of "bookmarks toolbar folder" and into folders of bookmarks residing there. I recently experienced a crash (not hang) after I clicked on a link in one of these folders. This link does not cause trouble when used through the in-browser toolbar dropdown menu.
Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!
