From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; N; Win95; en-US) Mozilla/m13 <-I downloaded m14, but it says m13 here, I don't know why. BuildID: 2000022820 Those blue and red balls suppose to run around the mouse curser, but in this build of mozilla, they just stay there, won't move at all. It works in netscape 4.x and IE4(+). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.just open that page, u'll see it. Actual Results: you see some static "ball" images on top half of the screen. Expected Results: those "balls" suppose to follow and run around the mouse. I tried this at home(win98 and win2k), also at school(win95). with newest version of Mozilla and/or Netscape6 PR1.
Site relies on document.layers, document.all, and fails to detect client correctly. See http://sites.netscape.net/ekrock/standards.html for details on standards-compliance in Mozilla, and which proprietary features of NS 4.x and IE will not be supported. Marking INVALID as per http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/bugathon.html#layerbugs

Summary: "Circling ball" script won't run → [LAYER] "Circling ball" script won't run
Moving all [LAYER] bugs to Evangelism component for tracking and open-source evangelism by mozilla community members of sites that need to upgrade to support web standards such as HTML 4.0 (instead of LAYER/ILAYER) and the W3C DOM (instead of Nav4 document.layers[] or IE document.all()). Sites should be lobbied to do the upgrade using the email templates that are linked to from http://www.mozilla.org/newlayout/bugathon.html#layerbugs . When a site's owner has confirmed receipt of the message requesting an upgrade, the bug should be marked with the keyword evangelized to indicate that evangelism for that bug is complete. When the site finishes the upgrade and supports standards, the bug should be closed.

Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Removing the evangwanted keyword from 49 evangilizm bugs that also have the evangelized keyword. Having both of these keywords on a bug makes it really hard to do a query for all open evangilizm bugs that are evangwanted. Sorry for the spam.

Site has totaly changed but is still not standards compliant. Changing URL to reflect changes, changing summary from "21years.com - [LAYER] "Circling ball" script won't run" to "21years.com - proprietary NS4/IE4 javascript is used for DHTML". Problems in this site are caused by the functions defined here: http://www.21years.com/overlib.js They only check for NS4 and IE4 (document.layers / document.all) Contact address is webmaster@21years.com
