Make sure only one window of Firefox is open. 2. Open the following urls in two tabs: www.slashdot.org, www.kerneltrap.org 3. Make sure that loading of the pages is finished 4. Change GNOME's theme (via Desktop -> Preferences -> Themes) 5. Firefox should become unresponsive (or crashes...) Actual Results: Firefox becomes unresponsive Expected Results: Firefox should not become unresponsive. It should carry on with the theme change.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 with those two tabs becomes unresponsive (and gets artifacts on its browser window) for a couple of seconds. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061003 Firefox/2.0 with 11 tabs becomes unresponsive for 30 seconds.
This bug is fixed on trunk. Hopefully we can get the patch that fixes it landed on branch (Firefox 2) and 1.8.0 (Firefox 1.5.0.x). *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 352096 ***
