Dear Mozilla
I have successfully used Mozilla Thunderbird on both my Desk top PC and my old Laptop. However, having installed Thunderbird on my new laptop I find hat I am repeatedly asked for a 'new password' for both of the E Mil accounts I use. Given that the E mail info. (for both accounts) was imported from Outlook Express when I installed your software, I am at a loss as to why this problem occurs. I should add that Outlook Express deals with both accounts with no problems. I have re-input all of the E mail account detials by hand and yet the program still asks for new passwords. I wonder if there is any way in which I can 'tell' Thunderbird the passwords it requires?
I'd appreciate any help you can give me in this matter
Best wishes
Rod Corston

Sounds like bug 352801. If so it should be fixed in builds from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-mozilla1.8.0/
