I'm on a Mac Intel box (10.4.8) running FF 2.0 rc2 (Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061003 Firefox/2.0)

Other documents print OK, this particular page always prints an empty 2nd page, no matter which print driver I chose (from among the printers I own).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Access this web page
2. Choose to print this page
3. Either print the page or "print preview" the page

Expected result:
- the entire 4-page document prints correctly

Actual result:
- the document prints correct except
- the page just before (<img src="/alonestaryank/images/j stic.jpg"  width=130 height=408></htpdiv></td> ) is completely blank

It looks like the page before the image '<img src="/alonestaryank/images/j stic.jpg"  width=130 height=408></htpdiv></td>' causes the problem.

This document prints fine in Safari.

I have this problem on Firefox 54 on Windows. Or rather what happens is that the first page of any site gets a small amount printed, *in landscape mode*, and all the other pages come out blank. Examples of pages to which that happens:

I note further than when I tried to print the first two pages of that third item, Firefox locked up for 15 seconds or so, whilst showing a 'preparing' dialogue (and even though I have e10s enabled).

I have a HP printer. The same pages (well, some of them at least - I haven't tested all three of them) print fine on Chrome (though the first one - which is long - does take a long time to hit the printer on Chrome).

I add that I have not checked the webpages in question for graphics which has a space in their pathname.

Acting on advice on the webpage https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox, I discovered - via the hamburger menu - a print-cum-print-setup screen that I don't remember seeing and which does not come up when I print via ctrl-P. I discover on that screen that printing is set to landscape. So far as I can see, this is a fairly disastrous setup; it means the printer orientation will be hidden most times I print. Or rather, misreported - because ctrl-P brings up a window with various settings and one of them said - when the printer was printing landscape - that printer orientation was set to portrait.

After changing this hidden, duplicitous setting, nothing changes except that the first, partially printed page - as against all the subsequent completely blank pages - is not printed portrait. So at least my largely blank output is . . the right way around.

I performed all the troubleshooting steps on the aforementioned webpage and I changed my ink cartridges. Result: no change. So for the moment I will have to perform all my browser printing in another browser.

This bug was filed over 10 years ago and doesn't sound at all related to the problems you're encountering other than blank pages happening. Please refrain from commenting in random bugs that only somewhat partially match your problem because it's a good way to ensure that your problem will go unnoticed. Even filing a new bug would be preferable (worst-case, it'll just get duped over to the bug already tracking the problem).

That said, assuming the problem you're encountering was new in Firefox 54, it sounds like you're hitting bug 1366744, which should already be fixed in Firefox 55 beta builds currently available. It's also on the radar for possible inclusion for a Fx54 bugfix release should one happen in the next couple weeks.

I take your point about old bug reports. However, since you said a bit more than that, I'll respond here.

I've installed 55.0b2 and now trying to print produces absolutely nothing at all. Should I file an new bug report?
