User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7
Build Identifier: version 1.5.0.7 (20060909)
Running modified filter rules causes unread messages with bodies not downloaded to dissappear and get deleted from the pop server. Only messages that would be effected by the new filter rule disappear.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
I have my email to download headers only from my pop server.
I have filters setup; some to move stuff to junk, some to download, some to download and move etc. One filter I have set to download body if senders email is in my address book.
* Press Get Mail
* See new messages (several) from sender I know but is not yet in my address book.
* Download body of one of the messages from know sender.
* Right click on senders email address and select 'Add to Address Book...'
* Complete the add process to my person address book.
* Now run filers from Tunderbird main menu: 'Tools->Run Filters on Folder'
* ALL THE EMAILS FROM NEW USER THAT HAD HEADERS DOWNLOADED AND ARE UNREAD DISAPPEAR. They no longer are anywhere in Thunderbird.
Actual Results:
A search of messages cannot find them, i.e., they are not moved anywhere that I can find. Furthermore, they are deleted from the pop server.
Expected Results:
It should run the filter correctly. The filter is download messages where sender is in my address book. So I should still see the headers in my list and be able to read the bodies.

Same problem. The log states "body fetched from POP3 server" but there is no trace of the message anywhere.
100% repeatable

Reporter, can you confirm this still happens with latest releases http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/ or early 3.x releases http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/early_releases/ ?
If this is not reproducible anymore, would this get closed?
