Cannot type letter "k" into search field of Mail. The letter "k" is simply ignored.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open mail
2. type any search word containing the letter "k"


Actual Results:  
letter "k" not accepted

This bug is also present in the builts from 20060822, 20060903 and 20060911

This happens in my 2006101613 1.8.1 branch build as well. Just open MailNews, focus the search field and type "k". Note that the message menu highlights.

What happens is that the "kill thread" command ("k") is firing. You can't type "w" either. See bug 347471 for more details.

Anyway, we need to remove those two keys from their menuitems.

Can you reproduce this in more recent trunk build? I'm interested if this works in cocoa for you (any build after October 1 will suffice). You'll recognize a cocoa build by it's broken SeaMonkey menu. I'm having trouble reproducing this in cocoa builds.

I haven't been able to reproduce this in cocoa builds. But we should at least fix this on branch.

works fine in built Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061017 SeaMonkey/1.5a.

However, I revert back to built 20060927 since this seems to be one of the last were drag&drop in mail works.
