Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/417.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/417.8
Build Identifier:
Camino cuts off the descriptive text of "tabbed" links to subseqeunt pages in the Bank of America Online Banking Bill Pay page (but not other BOA online banking pages with similar appearance. Safari and Firefox (2.0 RC2 Mac) displa¥ this page correctly. All earlier versions of Camino I tried (1.03) produced this same error. I can send screen shots to document -easier to visualize than describe
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log on to Bank of America Online Banking (need account)
2.Click link to Bill Pay pagve
3.
Actual Results:
Top of page shows "tabs" which are links to other BOA pages, but size of tabs displayed is too small to contain all of descriptive text and text contained in the tabs is cut off.
Expected Results:
The tabs should display larger with all of the contained text visible.
Safari and all versions of Firefox Mac (now 2.0 RC2) display this page correctly. Oddly, Camino displays other Bank of America Online Banking pages with the same tabbed links correctly - only the "Bill Pay" pages are wrong

WFM - Even if I manually change the font to be larger, the bounding boxes grow to fit the text for me. What build of Camino are you using? Does the problem persist if you stop spoofing your user agent? If you try to reproduce with a fresh profile (quit camino, temporarily move ~/Library/Application Support/Camino/ and relaunch Camino), does the problem persist?

I should mention for posterity that the text on the Bill Pay page certainly does look different - on other pages the tab text is san-serif, and the Bill Page tab text is serif.
Hmmm... on second thought Mitchell, can you also test that your serif font isn't corrupted (using Font Book->File->Validate Font if you're on OS X 10.4)?

Stoping spoofing had no effect. Starting with a fresh profile Fixed it!! Any idea what in my original profile could be broken so I don't have to start over from scratch?

I would try to copy the entire old profile back except for user.js (if it exists) and prefs.js. If it's still fixed, start adding lines from those two files back in one by one to isolate which pref setting caused this. If your search is successful, that information would probably be quite useful to us.
Not FIXED because there was no code change involved.

Removing user.js had no effect, but prefs.js fixed it. I found the line in the original prefs.js which caused the problem:
user_pref("general.useragent.override", "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/417.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/417.8");
Removing this fixed it. It must have been copied from my user.js as I thought I had subsequently turned off spoofing via CamiTools. Changing The CamiTool setting to spoof Safari 2.0 recreated the problem - setting it back to Camino fixed it again.

Closing WFM, since stopping spoofing as Safari fixed it.
