I wonder if it has something to do with .net, i installed the version 2 on my computer. I zip and delete thoses files : msvcm80.dll msvcp80.dll msvcr80.dll Microsoft.VC80.CRT.manifest Sunbird starts and the problem persists.

I deleted the files from sunbird folder.

.net allows to use multiple versions of the same dll side by side. It might be posible that the version installed with .net doesn't match the version required by Sunbird. Reinstall Sunbird but don't delete the files from installation folder and test if the problem still persist.

This crash in msvcr80.dll seems to be a more general problem that affects trunk builds of Firefox 3.0, Thunderbird 3.0 and Sunbird. It seems that the crash is related to access to https urls, e.g. during check for extension updates. Until now it's not clear what system configuration or installed application triggers this problem. See http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=462490 and Bug 330271 and Bug 343988 for more information on this topic.

I tried the new build and had the old result - crashed after 10-15 minutes. These fixes 1/ findold.exe : C:\WINDOWS\system32\2SMEHOJX.ocx has invalid Create time: 1617-10-13 08:03:41 UT C:\WINDOWS\system32\2SMEHOJX.ocx has invalid Write time: 1617-10-13 08:03:41 UT 2/ erase C:\WINDOWS\system32\2SMEHOJX.ocx didn't work since I have no 2smehojx.ocx in my c:\windows\system32 folder
