When a comment in a bug says

> quoted text quoted text quoted text quoted text quoted text bug
> 123456 quoted text quoted text quoted text quoted text quoted
> quoted text quoted text quoted text quoted text quoted text 

I think 'bug 123456' should be auto-linkified somehow.

A possible way to do it is to have 2 <a>'s, one for the word 'bug' and one for the bug number, on the next line.
I doubt we'll do this any time soon, but it could be a worthwhile minor improvement.

Filed so many years ago this is still an issue, as well as bug 1223948.
