Build Identifier: version 1.5.0.7 (20060909)

Imported mail form Eudora 8 months ago.

Note (1): saw that as the mailboxes came in all the messages got marked "unread". This was non-trivial since I have mail dating back 10 years (ok, ok), recursing 10 deep in 1,400 mailboxes. So I worked through them all so that they were all marked as read (because it was starting to seriously **** me off!). By the way, I have been trying to export my mail from Eudora to a different reader for at least 6 years in the general migration to Linux but it was only recently that I spotted that TB could manage this depth of recursion)

Note (2) the mailboxes are marked "unread" but are only highlighted (and the contents marked as unread) when the mailbox is open. Prior to this the mailboxes just look "normal". So opening a mailbox accidentally, means that it pops up with its contents suddenly highlighted and the mailbox name itself becomes highlighted with the number of unreads in it in brackets.

Note (3): It’s not possible to do a "mark as read" that recurses, so had to do this by hand – seriously **** me off more !

Note (4): yesterday something went pear-shaped (don’t know what) but TB crashed several times. When it finally got its act together a couple of messages in the "inbox" had been moved to new "temporary" mailboxes under "MAILBOXES". Fair enough, but the entire mailbox system is now back marked as unread...

Reproducible: Didn't try

fixed by bug 368347, so duping this bug to that

Bug 317301 requests this by account.
have you checked addons.mozilla.org?

when this happens you want to cite the talkbackid for the crash
 http://kb.mozillazine.org/Talkback#Getting_an_incident_ID
or, when version 3 comes out, breakpad id http://kb.mozillazine.org/Breakpad
