It is recommended that you keep this checked as your default setting, however, as spammers can use remote images to detect whether you've viewed messages they've sent to you.

(In reply to comment #1) > Changing the default of showing the inline images to appear in the mail > message area would improve the user experience Showing default messages (or loading other default content, such as style sheets or HTML <iframe> content) by default allows the message to be tracked, allowing for instance spammers to verify the various email addresses they send stuff out to. Preventing this is considered more important than displaying fancy shiny messages in all their so-called glory. Rather than turning off message blocking, you should consider adding the CareerBuilder address to your address book and enabling messages on that whitelist.
