User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7

Version: 1.5.0.7 (20061021)

I have a saved search that searches 15 folders on IMAP (dovecot) for two labels
(important or todo). It works ok if I don't have 'Search online' checked.

If I enable that option, saved search is empty. If I uncheck it, matched
messages appear.

Javascript console shows:
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code:
0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE) [nsIMsgSearchSession.search]"  nsresult:
"0x80070057 (NS_ERROR_ILLEGAL_VALUE)"  location: "JS frame ::
chrome://messenger/content/commandglue.js :: RerootFolder :: line 342"  data: no]

Tihs error shows up EVERY time I click on a saved search folder that has
'search online' checked.

I tried this on linux and winXP. Using same IMAP server (dovecot).

Reproducible: Always

I forgot to add.

When saved search is using 'search online' and I toggle views from
'all' to anything that matches search criteria for messages in that saved
search, matched messages are shown. Whenever I select saved search folder,
matched messages disappear.

WFM trunk Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1a2pre) Gecko/2008072800 Shredder/3.0a2pre
and no console messages.

So you should find this fixed in TB3 if it isn't already fixed in TB2
