User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7

This may be a duplicate of one of the other Flash Crash reports but I do not have the technical experience to check. It is dead easy to reproduce, however. Just start Firefox 1.5.0.7 with Flashplayer 9.0.16.0, and load the specified URL. Crashes. Always.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open URL
2.Wait for crash
3.

Actual Results:
Crash.

Expected Results:
Display the page including the embedded flash object.
PS: I also just checked this: The problem also affects SafeMode, so it's none of my extensions causing the issue.
Talkback ID?
"Talkback ID?"

Sorry, I'm not technically versed in this.

I have allowed the Talkback Agent to send reports, each time Firefox crashed (4x). What ID?

Thanks,
D.
This page crashes my trunk build. The talkback is not very illuminating: TB24953141Z
P.S. it of course wasn't yahoo mail. Darn leftover talkback values.
I'm also using Flash 9 r16.

There are many flash crash bugs so I'm not sure if this is a dupe.

This is a crash in the flash code.
I also crash with IE7.
Well, it does not crash with IE 6 (version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519) so it must be something browser specific.

The page did not crash for me with Flash 8 in IE6 but it did crash with Flash 9 in IE6. Are you sure you have Flash 9 installed?
Good point. I have 9.0.16.0 in Firefox 1.5, but apparently 7.0.19.0 in IE6 - unfair comparison.
So if your IE6 dies with Flash 9 then perhaps this is indeed a Flash and not a Firefox issue.
This will be fixed in the next release of Flash Player 9. Thanks for the bug report.
This still crashes with version 9.0.28.0. Although it does seem to get further. What looks like a loading screen appears in the flash object before crashing. Also talkback wasn't triggered for the crash.
Summary: Loading this page crashed my 1.5.0.7 Firefox with the latest Flashplayer 9.0.16.0 → Flash player crashes (versions 9.0.16.0 and 9.0.28.0)
This is definitely a flash bug and not a mozilla bug, since it happens to other browsers - I see someone from Adobe/Macromedia is watching this, do we need to keep this open when it's not technically a Mozilla bug?

bug 353286 appears to be another case where this is happening.
Thanks again for the bug report. This time, for real, this bug as written should be fixed in the next release of Flash Player 9. :)
Now works for me with flash version 9,0,45,0.

Please reopen this bug. Bug 419256 shows that crashes with version 9,0,115,0 still does not reproduce Talkback or Breakpad logs with Firefox 2 and 3b3.
The site given in the URL of this bug does not crash with Flash v9.0 r115. Therefore your problem is a separate issue.
