User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7 ' + c should give me a ç (cedilla) but does not. I had to type it somewhere not in Firefox to copy and paste it here. When I try to type it on Firefox 2.0 (final) I get ć (c with acute over it). All other programs (KWord, Konsole, OpenOffice, KDE->Run command) work fine (Thunderbird has the same problem though). I'm not sure if it matters, since it work everywhere else, but my keyboard is a US one (as yours probably) with us_intl mapping. Regards. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Not sure for you but just try to type in the address bar or forms c + ' which should give ç but does not. Actual Results: ć Expected Results: ç Extremely annoying since portuguese relies heavily on cedilla.
Oh, this bug was reported through Fireox 1.5.0.7 because I was trying to see if it had a problem too, and it has. But 2.0 has the same problem. This is slackware 11 and I have no idea why everywhere else it works ok but not on Firefox/Thunderbird. I understand this might be an uncommon case though. What should I do? (display my information using ISO-8859-1 to see the cedillas).
export LANG=pt_BR is needed for cedilla to work right on firefox (not in all other apps though).
