I just got a new notebook that runs XP Table-PC Edition SP2. I have installed FireFox 2.0 on it and it all works well. However if you visit a web page that needs Java (JRE nor JavaScript) firefox freezes without any notification and you need to restart it. I was wondering what happens and tried IE6. Entering the web sites the SUN licence agreements popped-up and after accepting them i was able to use the website. From now on, I can visit the pages with FireFox also - no freezing at all. IMO FireFox has problems to bring up the SUN licence agreement window and freezes because it waits for user input to a window that is not there. I am not sure how many people will face this problem, because it should only appear on new systems, nevertheless it is a barrier for new users. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. system that has nor run JRE before! 2. open site that needs java --> firefox will freeze 3. do so with IE and accept sun licence agreements 4. visit page with firefox again --> no freeze
