User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0
My computer suddenly turned off because of thunderstorm problem. When I re-opened Firefox then (re-establishing my prev. session), I was logged out from all sites and further investigation showed that all cookies were cleared. The passwords of the sites I was on at that time were forgotten, but not the other ones.
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Be logged in on many different sites
2. Unplug your computer or cause sudden power loss
3. Restart computer and Firefox, loading the previous session
Expected Results:
Remember all sites I was logged in to, leave the cookies alone.
Used extensions:
- Adblock
- Calculator
- Chatzilla
- Distrust (disabled)
- Download statusbar
- Fasterfox (disabled)
- FoxyProxy
- Google toolbar
- IE Tab
- Mouse Gestures
- Talkback
I am using default theme.
(Maybe add optional automatic backuper of user's data, that backups data at end of every successful session or maybe once per hour. Also possibility to export all data under password to keep informations safe.)
Component: Password Manager → Startup and Profile System
Version: unspecified → 2.0 Branch

I've just seen a similar thing. I'm using RC3 of firefox 2.0 (win32) which technically should be the same as the release. My pc crashed (bsod, video card issue) and when I reopened Firefox the session was restored. I noticed that I was logged out of several sites I am normally logged in to (and did in fact use prior to the crash):
slashdot
my own blog (wordpress)
bloglines
Also Google had reset itself to finnish language based on my ip address which means their preferences cookie must have been deleted (i don't speak finnish and have google set to english normally).
Highly annoying and I think this is the third or second time I'm seeing this since I've started using the 2.0 beta's and RCs.

Reporter, do you still see this problem with the latest Firefox 2? If not, can you please close this bug as WORKSFORME. Thanks!

wfm - also we're using sqlite now so the chance of such things should be much reduced.

I have also not seen this recently anymore. One of the patch releases must have fixed this issue.
