User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Instead of the current: - block all pop-ups except for certain sites I'd like to be able to: - generally allow pop-ups - put selected sites in a pop-up block list I turn pop-up blocker off since I don't want to miss any relevant pop-ups, and most sites don't have annoying pop-ups anymore. But a few sites I consistently visit do have unwanted pop-ups, which I would like to put in a block list. Implementation example: - when "Block pop-up windows" is enabled, keep everything the same as the current implementation - when it is disabled, instead of graying out the "Exceptions" button, change it to a "Block List" button - store both the "exceptions" and "block" lists, separately - add a button to the toolbar which toggles between "Allow Pop-Ups from this site" and "Block Pop-Ups from this site", depending on preference state. The above example would take little UI changes, but is probably confusing, so please implement as appropriate. Reproducible: Always
We don't need to rename the button. Exceptions works both ways. I'd love the ability to just outright block sites from opening popups, and it's really just passing different args when we open the window, iirc the backend already checks for both perms.
