35809 - signature not picked up

I set my signature to be /u/akkana/.mozilla/akkana/sig, and put a couple of
lines of plaintext in it (so it should work with both html and plaintext).  The
box in mail/news prefs is indeed checked; but when I bring up a compose window
(either html or plaintext), there is no signature there.

Signatures were working fine for me a few weeks ago.

Ah.  Just discovered that in a plaintext reply, the signature is picked up okay.
 In an html reply (to a plaintext message), the signature is there but it's
(incorrectly) inside the quoted text, as though it was the signature of the
message being replied to.  In a new message, there's no signature at all.

Seth made the interesting observation that this is probably related to Bug #35812.

In todays builds, we aren't picking up the account information (including the
identity) when you hit new message.

we are always using the default identity.

This could explain this bug.

my fix for bug #35812 fixes this.  my signature files are now getting picked up.
