Steps to reproduce: Using latest beta - I tried with up to version 2 beta 1 (20061015): 1. select Tools->Options 2. Under General->Default Settings, select "News" (from off to on) 3. TB hangs Mail and RSS work (in the GUI, RSS does not work as expected when invoked from Firefox 2.0, but that's another bug).
This code changed drastically a couple nights ago, can you try again on a more recent 2.0 nightly?
