Greetings all. I would like to browse all of the currently available extensions for Firefox, so that I'm aware of what is available. Obviously this will take some time and I don't want to repeat this process on a regular basis.

For users that want to keep up to date with the latest extensions added to the repository, would it be possible to have a mailing list that extension users can subscribe to? So when a new extension is added to the repository, an email could then be auto-generated, and sent out to all subscribers on that list?

I'm sure this option would be very much appreciated by Firefox extension users.

Thankyou

https://addons.mozilla.org/rss/firefox/extensions/new/ RSS is the way of the future my friend. You can probably find a service out there to email you when the RSS feed is updated if you really don't like RSS for some reason.

I'm thinking WONTFIX
Component: Add-ons → Public Pages
OS: Linux → All
Hardware: PC → All
Yeah, we don't want the load of generating (and bouncing, no doubt) that much email. The RSS stuff is easier to cache, and there exist several services and programs for sending RSS stuff to email according to your preferences.

http://www.squeet.com/home.aspx is one such, as a starter.

Thanks for that link Mike. I do not have a problem with RSS, or RSS to email. Is there a link on the firefox extension site for RSS feeds, that gets updated when new extensions are added to the repository? I cannot see one. Maybe I missed it.

In the footer of the site is a link called "feeds/RSS"

The one you want is https://addons.mozilla.org/rss/firefox/extensions/newest/ - sorry, I gave the wrong link before.

Please use #addons on irc.mozilla.org for any further support requests you may have.
