in firefox 1.5 CTRL+M would open a new email message windows based on how network.protocol-handler.app.mailto is set, i've set my to thunderbird. this functionality no longer works.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. insure pref("network.protocol-handler.app.mailto","/misc/apps/bin/thunderbird"); is set in /path/to/firefox-2.0/defaults/pref/user.js 
2. open firefox 2.0 (tested on solaris and windows XP)
3. type ctrl+m

Actual Results:  
nothing happens

Expected Results:  
the spawning of a new email message window from thunderbird
This shortcut and the Read Mail shortcut were removed in bug 306453. It was decided that the shortcuts weren't related to browsing and were unneeded. ->INVALID
