Does this reproduce with 1.1a1? Are you using a proxy of any kind?

Using another user account fixed the problem. What does that mean? Does it mean there is a conflict with one of my startup items. The other account does not have any. Anyone know a good way to troubleshout this type of problem? No OS X conflict Catcher! Does anyone know where the list of startup items for a given user is stored?

Closing as INVALID, since a problem that isn't fixed by a clean profile but is fixed by a new user account implies a local configuration problem. If you find more specific information pointing to a Gecko bug, feel free to reopen this.
